The Benefits of Strength Training for Women…Over 50

According to the Muscle, Ligament and Tendon Journal (MLTJ), aging is the process of losing muscle mass and strength after the age of 30. The good news is we can slow down the aging process by building and maintaining muscle through strength training. Other benefits of strength training, according to Tufts University, includes the reduction of risks and symptoms of various health problems including:

  • Back pain
  • Depression
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Osteoporosis
